The conversion is simple and easy. Just follow these steps: 1. Remove Backing Plate
It will look like this without the plate:
2. Place the base of the adapter on the machine
3. Insert the adapter's screw
4. Tighten down the screw using 5/32" hex wrench
5. Screw the Edge adapter onto the base
Now you can use your 6" and 4" E2K pads on the Makita™ BO6040
